In an interview with ABC News’ 7.30 program Doona Car Seat, a father who asked not to be named said he had just lost his two-year-old son to what he described as “tough, hard and scary” circumstances.

“He had a few problems,” the father said.

“And he was very aggressive towards me, he wanted to fight with me. “

“You need to be very clear with your child, it’s not good for them to be distracted, it doesn’t mean they’re going to get in trouble, it just means you need to have a plan to handle the situation,” he added.

The new father said his son was also “tougher than me”.

“My job as a father is to be tough, tough and tough,” he explained.

“Because you have to be able to control everything that you do, you need the confidence to go and do your job.”

The new dad said he often thought about how difficult it would be for his son if he were to become distracted.

The dad said it was also difficult for him as a parent to be honest with his child about the crash, which occurred in his own car on Sunday morning.
