Two people were killed when their car plunged into a median in Denver.

It was one of two crashes involving pedestrians that killed four people in just over two hours in the Denver metro area.

The Denver Fire Department reported the accident in the 1100 block of South Colfax Avenue in Denver around 1:30 p.m.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other pedestrian was transported to a hospital where he later died.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The car, a 2007 Toyota Tacoma, was driven by a 24-year-old man.

It’s unclear if he was a passenger in the car or if the driver was in the front seat.

The crash occurred in a residential neighborhood and witnesses reported seeing a large SUV in the median.
