Posted by Wired on Saturday, August 06, 2017 10:30:00A $1.6 million Model S was spotted parked in a parking lot in Los Angeles’ Westwood neighborhood this week.
The vehicle is one of just two in existence, and was spotted by a customer with a Tesla sticker.
The other is a Tesla X, a $70,000 SUV that’s also parked in Westwood.
“I just drove it, and it had no issues whatsoever,” the customer said.
The owner said the car came to him about six months ago, and that it was “just a good old car, like a Chevy Volt or something like that.”
The vehicle, which was parked outside a home, had been inspected and there were no problems, according to the owner.
Tesla’s Model S is the only electric vehicle in existence with a manufacturer-certified warranty.
It comes with a 1-year limited warranty and a 30-day limited warranty.
