I’ve spent the past few years working on an award-winning charity that helps people find meaningful work, and one of the first things I discovered when I joined the team was that there was a real lack of career advice.

So I thought, why not create one?

I had a few ideas but none were quite right.

The first step was to create a career quiz for people in my target market, who I know really well, so that they could learn about their career options and make sure they were prepared to take the right decision.

I called it The Career Quiz and launched it in January 2018.

It was my first step in creating an online resource to help people make a career decision.

Then I launched a Career Q&A site, which has grown to over 200,000 subscribers and counting.

And last week, I launched an app, which is a one-stop-shop for career questions, career advice and career guides.

I’m delighted that I’ve had the chance to be part of such a successful and innovative community that has transformed my life.

I’d like to thank all of the volunteers who have been helping to make this happen, as well as my co-founders: the family, friends and the great people at the Australian HealthCareers Network.

As well as being able to answer questions, people are able to share their advice and help each other with their careers.

The AMA’s advice on how to become a better career planner is available to read on our career advice website.

I’m also keen to hear what you think about this exciting new service.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a career adviser?

Career Q & A is the only online resource that allows users to make career advice, answer career questions and share career advice guides.

I’ve seen this approach succeed across a range of industries.

I also find it’s important to keep a career guide online, so I’m proud to have been a part of the AMA’s work for over a decade.

What was your favourite moment as a careers adviser?

One of my favourite moments was helping a young woman with a passion for fitness, as she took her first steps towards being a fitness professional.

She was excited to be taking up the challenge and it gave her so much hope.

She has since gone on to become an expert in fitness and fitness coaching.

Another moment that’s been incredibly inspiring was working with a group of young people in the community of St Vincent de Paul, who had a particular interest in volunteering.

The young people were so interested in helping, so they invited me into their community to do a workshop with them.

The students were all really motivated and very happy to be able to get involved.

What is your personal favorite career question you’ve received?

One question I get asked the most is “how to make money as a health adviser”.

I’m always surprised by the questions I receive, especially those from women, because I’ve heard so many advice for this.

Some of the advice is simple but it’s really important to think about what you can do to help other people and to find your true calling.

I love answering these questions because it’s so clear that it’s about helping people.

What advice would you give to other career advisers?

I’ve been a career advisor for over 10 years, but I’d encourage anyone who wants to become one to work hard at it.

It’s an exciting and rewarding career and I’d recommend it to anyone.
